9 out of 10 families in Sri Lanka cannot ensure nutritious meals for their children. A recent report shared that half of Sri Lanka's families have to reduce or skip meals due to high food prices. Learn more about the crisis.
No Hungry Kids started last year, as an initiative of former Secretary of the Ministry of Education Dr Tara De Mel, with two goals:
1. Children gain a nutritious meal - usually the only meal they have all day
2. Ensure consistent school attendance by providing free lunch.

How We Help
Provide free lunch
We provide a free lunch 3 times a week in 2 public schools in Colombo, Sri Lanka
Teach Hygiene and Nutrition
Parents cook the meals together at the school premises and learn about nutrition.
Ensuring proper nutrition
We create meal plans that ensure proper nutrition and healthy diets for young kids.
How You Can Help
Make a difference in a child's life today by supporting
No Hungry Kids. The entire project is volunteer-run and 100% of your donations will go towards meals for children.
We can also arrange special meals by donor request.
A meal for a child costs only Rs 110 (33 cents USD)
$33 will pay for 100 nutritious meals for 100 children.
$99 will pay for 300 nutritious meals for 300 children.
